Beef CEOs to testify in upcoming Home Ag Committee listening to

The CEOs of the 4 main US meatpackers have agreed to take part in an upcoming Home Agriculture Committee listening to on cattle markets.

Chairman David Scott says it is extremely vital to listen to the views of the CEOs of Cargill, Tyson Meals, JBS, and Nationwide Beef Packing to know the complete image of why costs have gone up for customers and down for farmers and ranchers. 

The listening to will happen the day after the Senate Ag Committee is ready to carry a listening to on the Cattle Market Value Discovery and Transparency Act from US Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) and Senator Chuck Grassley (IA).
