Delayed spring may benefit fruit growers

Fruit growth has been sluggish for cherry growers in Michigan and one trade chief says that’s not a nasty factor.

“Usually, if we’ve got late bloom we are inclined to have a decent-sized crop.”

Cherry Business Administrative Board Govt Director Heather Weber tells Brownfield the possible occasion of any frost or freeze injury is minimal at this level, however pollination remains to be reliant on the climate and bees.
