A Metra prepare collided with an SUV Monday morning in downtown Arlington Heights, briefly snarling visitors within the space, authorities mentioned.
The crash on the intersection of Arlington Heights Street and Northwest Freeway occurred about 9:50 a.m. when the westbound commuter prepare struck the entrance of the automobile, officers mentioned.
There was no report relating to accidents from authorities, although the preliminary report was dispatched as a visitors crash with accidents. Metra police didn’t reply to a request for remark Monday.
Arlington Heights Street was closed to southbound visitors for about an hour whereas Metra and Union Pacific Railroad personnel performed repairs to the prepare, which had minor harm. Northbound visitors was open however backed up on the intersection, and trains have been delayed in each instructions.
